XSOF™ optical assemblies are not just probes or assemblies connecting processes to instruments, but can be found on the interior of many different instruments. They are used to route energy, create a sample interface and can allow particular measurements or groups of measurements to be made.
Examples of what our fiber optic assemblies accomplish are:
- Interface to processes, instruments, and patients
- Interface with sample cells and cuvette holders
- Create sample platforms or pedestals
- Collimate light for transmission measurements
- Can be off axis for fluorescence measurements
- Include flow cells
- Distribute or split energy, or, when working in the other direction, combine energy
- Can achieve strict pointing error or other “alignment” specifications
- Can be made in mapped or specific orientations to facilitate various measurements
- Have unique or custom end preparations (shapes, polishes)
- Are able to operate in high or low pH, high or low temperature, or vacuum
- Are “black box” components
